Te Hokinga (the return)
If you have not been down to the Government Gardens in Rotorua Lately, be sure to check out he Sulphur City Sculpture Trail behind the Rotorua Arts Village (RAVE). The sculptures were created during a two week symposium of invited artists in December 2014. The sculpture trail forms part of the city’s 2015 WWI Gallipoli commemorations and will be on display until the next symposium in two years time. The sculptures are for sale during the exhibition. I was fortunate to take part in the symposium. My piece entitled Te Hokinga is made of Black Takaka Marble, Oamaru limestone and Corten Steel. It is for sale for $12,000.00
